Written and directed by Victoria Cocks, Produced by Kirsty Stark and DPed by Vivyan Madigan (Epic Films) Wastelander Panda looks at the tale of the last remaining panda in a post-apocalyptic wasteland. The team behind this created a three minute prologue which they uploaded to Vimeo to seek an audience and show funding bodies and television stations how popular a concept as such would be. After five days on Vimeo the prologue had over 100,000 online views from various countries across the globe!
As a next step the team want to create a series of web episodes that will lead into the full one hour television episode.
To support and fund this side of the project they are crowd funding through the site Pozible Australia's version of Kickstarter. By supporting the project through a donation you can be rewarded with various credits and packs relating to the film, donations start from as little as $1 right up $1000.
We all need support in anyway we can to help get our projects made. I'm a big fan of post-apocalyptic stories, ever since I watched the first Mad Max filmed I've been hooked on stories as such.
Show your support for the filmmakers at Epic Films and help get Wastelander Panda made! They haven't got long to go with raising the funding if they don't reach their funding target all they have to give all the support back! We don't want that happening!!
